New ford focus 2011

New ford focus 2011

The production of the all new Ford Focus 2011 has been started December 6 in the German Ford plant in Saarlouis and the USA Ford plant in Wayne, Michigan. With the new Focus, Ford walks a different path than previous generations. The U.S. and European Focus of the 3rd generation are the same model, others then what happened with previous generation, where the American buyers could choose also a coupe and sedan and which where different in many points from the European models and based on the Focus from the 1st generation. Of the new generation again a sedan is available.
If the plant in Saarlouis Germany is at full speed,  the 6,500 workers will daily produce 1850 Focus cars.
And what is the Focus 2011 look like? What can we expect? what has changed?
Safety and security are at the forefront of Focus for 2011. All models feature standard four-wheel ABS and, working in conjunction with ABS, standard AdvanceTrac with ESC using sophisticated sensors to help keep the car under control. Standard on SE, SES and SEL trim levels is a perimeter alarm system to discourage vehicle theft and tampering.
To help encourage safe teen driving, Focus features the MyKey system as standard equipment on all models. Parents simply program the vehicle key through the message center to incorporate features such as:

  • Limited vehicle top speed of 125 km/hr.
  • Traction control system that limits tire spin cannot be deactivated
  • Audio system volume limited to 44 percent of maximum volume
  • A speed alert chime at 70 km, 85 km and 100 km
One of the most popular Focus options has consistently been Remote Keyless Entry, which is now standard on all models, along with power locks and a remote trunk release. A standard driver’s message center displays key vehicle information, including dual trip computers and instantaneous fuel efficiency information. Buyers opting for the SYNC communications and entertainment system also get outside temperature and direction information provided in a convenient top-of-dash radio display.
