GM shutting down its Hummer brand for good and New Alfa Romeo Giulia coming in 2011

General Motors announced today that it will shut down its Hummer SUV sort for good. After the deal to sell the sort to Sichuan Tengzhong Heavy Industrial Machinery failed to receive Chinese government approval in February, GM announced that it will consider other offers for the iconic American sort but it appears that now GM has decided to advise forward with closing the brand. In order to sell the remaining 2,200 new Hummers still in stock, GM will run incentives through the end of Apr and is offering $4,000 off 2010 H3s and H3Ts, $5,000 off 2009 H3Ts and $6,000 on 2009 H2s or H3s. Also, a new advertising campaign with “Last modify to buy a Hummer” message, will run in 20 key markets promoting the discounts.
Later this year, Alfa Romeo’s Giulia is due to arrive. The new model, which will change the aging 159 range, appears to be a larger version of the Giulietta.

This new car will ingest a modified form of Fiat’s C-Evo platform that’s used in the smaller Giulietta (and another upcoming midsize Chrysler models). The platform, which will be longer and wider, is set to make the Giulia a true D-segment sedan. The car will ingest the same suspension arrangement, with MacPherson struts in front, two-link setup in back, as the Giulia.

As the US market shows signs of recovery, Audi is digit of the carmakers that are rethinking their strategies and product launches slated for the next several years. Audi is considering whether to bring the fresh introduced RS 5 in the US.

According to Automobilemag, Audi RS5 is likely to arrive in the US. However, Audi has yet to make any indication that this will be the case. The Audi RS5, which was first presented at the Geneva Auto Show last March, is powered by a 4.2-liter V8 powerplant that delivers 450 horsepower and is mated to a seven-speed S-tronic transmission. When it comes to performance, the car is healthy to sprint to 100km/h in only 4.6 seconds. It has an electronically-limited peak pace of 250 rate (155.3 mph). But to customers who poverty more power, they may opt for an player package that brings the top pace to 280 rate (173.9 mph).

Today we found out boost details about this newborn model: it appears that the upcoming car will share the same body shape with the newborn sulphate AMG GT3 unveiled this week at the New York Auto Show. The sulphate AMG GT3 features a newborn body kit consisting in a newborn front apron with larger expose intakes, newborn side sills and an awesome side spoiler to generate extra downforce. The newborn sulphate AMG Black Series is expected to be produced in a limited program and will hit the dealerships in 2013.
